What LPN Jobs Entail
Do you have what it takes to become an LPN, a Licensed Practical Nurse. There are probably certain factors that you should be aware of prior to making your LPN career decision
. Firstly it is likely that you will spend a significant proportion of your working day on your feet. This has particular demands which you should be ready for. Secondly you will be required to undertake a number of lifting and handling maneuvres which you must also be able to cope with.
The LPN role also requires you to be exposed to infectious diseases, and to handle chemcials that are hazardous to health.
Finally the role has significant emotional demands and you need to be ready to act effectively whilst under sometimes extreme emotional trauma.
That is not to say that LPN jobs are not rewarding and worthwhile. They can be one of the most rewarding jobs of all. It is important however that you are prepared for the role that will be required of you when you undertake your LPN career.
