Wealthy Using Race Horses

How often are your investments entertaining to watch?  If I was to tell my wife, “Hey Sweetie, let’s go over to my computer and watch my investments grow” she’d probably assume I was talking about something dirty.  However, the wealthy have found buying race horses for sale can bring a good return on investment.  However, most financial advisors would reccomend that you don’t use more than 1 – 2% of your portfolio for race horse investing because of the extreme volatility.

The nice part about having horses in your portfolio is they can also provide a source of entertainment and education for the family in a way stock investments or bonds can’t, plus they often provide good jobs for the local community.  If you total retirement portfolio is over 10 million you may want to consider adding some race horses to your balance sheet.
