Whenever you decide to hand address your envelopes using calligraphy there are a few things you should keep in mind. The first thing is that you need to buy plenty of extra envelopes because it is very easy to make mistakes whenever you are addressing them. You should definitely make sure that you have had a little practice before you start firing up your pen directly on the ivory envelopes. You should also make sure that you make yourself a guide to follow whenever you’re doing this. The best thing to do to make the guide is to print a few lines, three or four, onto a piece of paper and then cut it down so that you can put it inside of your envelopes. It is difficult to do if you have lined envelope because you will not be able to see through the envelopes. Another way to create the guide is by using a ruler and a piece of paper that will fit inside of the envelope. It is important to have a guide because it’s very easy to make crooked lines whenever you don’t have something to follow.
