If you are a lover of fine jazz music then Tauranga, New Zealand is the place to be at Easter time.

The National Jazz Festival will be celebrating it’s 48th year in Tauranga starting Good Friday through to Easter Sunday 2010.

There have been many big name jazz musicians such as The Blind Boys of Alabama, Hollie Smith and the Big Band Night playing at previous festivals. This is the third oldest Jazz festival around the globe attracting around 61,000 attendees at the last festival in 2009!

If you’re looking for a place to stay, make sure you book your Tauranga hotel well in advance, because with those kind of attendence numbers the city will be bursting will tourists looking for somewhere to stay after an afternoon of good food, wine and Jazz!
