You may not realise it, but construction hats actually come in quite a broad range of styles and colours. The building industry alone is huge, and there are many other industries that have a need for these hats. For example, mining and roadworks have very strict safety regulations that must be adhered to by their employees. For every industry out there that requires safety equipment, there is a hard hat specifically designed for their needs.

In mining, one of the most important aspects of a hard hat is the fact that a light can be clipped on to it. In the construction industry, the colours of hats are very important, as a colour will be assigned to different levels of employees on the site. This way, you can quickly find a supervisor in the crowd if needed. Styles range a great deal, from full brimmed hats to different materials, to vented hats that allow your head to breathe.
