One of the methods used for dog training involves using a clicker. This method is known as “clicker training”, but what is a clicker? It is a simple device that well, just makes a clicking noise. This sound serves to reinforce a good habit in the dog – thus training them.

So for example if you want to teach your dog to sit, you say SIT and when the dog sits you reward him with a treat, and at the same time you use the clicker. In that short period of time, you have associated the click with the treat, and in turn with the desired action.

This association is what makes the method work. If you want to learn how to train a dog using a clicker, there are some resources online that can help you get started.
