When learning how to jump higher plyometric exercises are the key. To get better at anything it’s best to practice it. The same holds true for jumping higher. If you want to jump high, you need to jump. But not just any old jumping will do you need to do certain reps with a little more rest in between them. You aren’t trying to build big legs, you want legs that perform what they are supposed to do and that is jump super high.

Just jumping a lot will not get the results you are looking for. That is why jump rope is not a great way to increase your vertical jump. You need to focus more on doing higher jumps instead of hundreds of little jumps. You don’t want to learn how to jump all day, you want single explosive jumps. so get to work and start training with plyometrics.
