Shields are For Cowards: Use a Parrying Dagger!

If you’re a swordsman or a Mideival Times stunt person wannabe you are probably out there playing with your sword and shield. Let me tell you something though, shields are for the amateur swordsman. They make it too easy to protect yourself against your opponent and when you’re not really dealing with a life and death situation it is a lot more fun to try and be a little bit more skillful with your weaponry. Go get yourself a martial arts weapon like the parrying dagger to replace that shield. A parrying dagger is a small sword that you can use to catch and hold your opponent’s weapon.

Often, parrying daggers will have grooves in the blade or multiple trident blades to act as catching mechanisms. If you are talented enough you can do some serious damage to your opponent’s weapon and then finish them off with your own main hand sword. Dual wielding is always more fun than the sword and board, especially if you’ve learned anything from World of WarCraft.
