Reduce Anxiety With A Journal

We all know that by worrying about problems you make them worse. But how do you make them better? How do you make these problems and worries go away when you can’t help but think about them? Well there is an easy way to get them out of your head and to stop you worrying about them for good. Want to know how? By keeping a journal of course! That way you can write them down and not have to worry about them so you can have a good nights sleep at last and reduce anxiety in your life. This can also help by treating anxiety attacks and overcoming phobias too.

In order to journal successfully, you need to get a journal! This journal is going to represent how you want to feel when you have finished writing in it so aim for a journal that’s looks appeal to you. You can go for a bright funky one or an elegant leather bound one. A good quality pen is also a good idea because you are more likely to feel creative and want to write more if you have a pen that feels good to write with. Once you have these tools then you can start to write. Your journal doesn’t have to have dates on it and you don’t have to write in it every day but remember that by keeping a detailed account of how you’re feeling can make it easier to see where the improvements are.

Now you can go on to write in your journal. This may be difficult at first because you may not know what these feeling are that you are holding onto in your head. Start by simply trying to get the worries out onto the page and then later, think about how these worries make you feel and write that down too. You can elaborate onto how you think you would feel if you didn’t have to worry, What you would do if your worries came true, why you think you are worrying about them in the first place. You can write down all the things that have gone on through the day and how you coped with them. You can write down what made you angry, sad or frightened . You can write down anything you like and as often as you like. This journal is yours and should be filled with your thoughts and fears. If you don’t want to write them down then that is completely up to you.
