Rat Bait Traps
A rat bait trap is an effective way to rid your house or yard of unwanted pests. A basic rat bait trap is some sort of cage or box, put in areas where rats have been spotted.
The number of rat bait traps that you need, will depend on the number of rats in the area. If you have only seen one, then one trap will probably suffice. For a more moderate rodent problem, you may need several.
Place the baited traps of intervals of about 50 feet apart. Check them at least once a week.
The recommended rat trap bait can be a pesticide or something as common as peanut butter or cheese. If you use a pesticide, you will need to check and see what the rules of usage are where you live. Also, make sure your traps are set correctly, so the rat can’t escape and possible drop the poison out of the trap, where a child or other animal can accidentally come in contact with it.
