My earbuds finally gave out the other day. Since I spend a lot of time traveling and someone reminded me about the technology, I thought I should check out some noise canceling earbuds. I did not even know that there was such a thing. This is actual active noise canceling and not just shoving some earbuds to block out the sound.
I was amazed at how much you can spend on earbuds! They have some that are close to $500! I did not spend that much but instead opted for something in the $150 range. They are definitely awesome. Since I bought them I have flown twice. It really is a lot nicer to not be subjected to the constant roar of the jets. To tell you the truth I never noticed that sound all that much. Yet you can notice the absence of the jet noise and I can literally tell that I am better of blocking it all out.
I also find it really nice to be able to not have to get into one of those nonsensical conversations with some one I don’t know. The noise canceling earbuds do not really block out voices so well, but people see you have earbuds in so they just don’t bother talking to you.
