Maggie The Kitten Gets Spayed

11Deciding on whether to get your pet kitten spayed or neutered is a big decision. I personally believe that because of all of the health benefits and the fact that after the procedure your cat is supposed to be much more relaxed and less stressed that it was a wise choice to have my pet kitten Maggie spayed.

The surgery only took one day. I dropped Maggie off at the clinic around eight in the morning and picked her up later that evening at around six. She had a small incision in her tummy and had to wear a cone around her neck to stop her from biting and licking the stitches. When I picked her up she was fully awake and in excellent form. I took all of two days for her to manage to get our of the cone. Although the vet said she needed to keep the cone on for a week she seemed fine. She has since fully recovered, it took about two weeks. I truly believe that spaying my kitten was a very wise choice.
