Easily Make a Glass Coffee Table
Often times people will be struggling in the stores to find the perfect coffee table for their home when all they really need to do is build one themselves. It isn’t as hard as it sounds to build an elegant and unique looking glass coffee table. To be honest, it isn’t all that difficult to build a wooden coffee table either but it is extremely simple to build a glass one. Here’s how:
First you should understand that a glass coffee table is simply a base with a pane of glass stuck on top of it. You can make anything into a glass coffee table as long as the object you find can support and properly balance the weight of the glass on top of it. I’ve even built a glass coffee table out of an old lobster trap I found. Find yourself a nice base, go to a glass cutting store and have them give you a moderately thick piece of oval or rectangular glass, and then secure that to the base and viola: instant coffee table.
