Changing Jobs Can Be A Nightmare

If your like me and you’ve worked for a company for over 10 years the prospect of chaning jobs can be scary as all get out.  Many people only consider how much more money they will be making but there are several factors you should consider.  Take a look at the benefits offered by the new company are they comperable to the one you have.  How much more do they cost?  Does your doctor accept the insurance that is being offered under your new company’s benefits package?

In addition to looking into the medical benefits you definately need to take a gander at their retirement programs.  Do they offer a 401k?  If so what type of company match is available.  How will you handle your 401k rollover?  Don’t forget to consider the free money you get in your retirement account from your existing company when comparing salaries.  While on the surface of things it might seem that the money being offered by the new job is a great deal you could actually be losing money if you dont consider the entire package being offered
