For an inland city, Elche is highly populated and popular. Set against a lofty mountain range, Elche is a gem in the Alicante province of Spain. With its enchanting palm groves and historic buildings, it has become a popular holiday destination. The weather in Elche is moderate and the temperature remains at an average of 19 degrees all year round. It is one of the southern regions of the country and is warmer than most other cities during the winter months.

Elche has the distinction of being home to two World Heritages. The Palmeral of Elche and the Mystery of Elche make it a city that is recommended by many travel advisors. Like most of the cities of Spain, Elche has a diverse history that has influenced it in every part of its existence. The Arabian influence is visible in its culture, its food, its festivals, its people and structures. The Christian influence can be seen in its religious festivals that commemorate different religious personalities.

The Basilica de Santa Maria is another historical monument that is a treat to see. The top of the tower gives a beautiful view of the surrounding palm groves and the city park. The M.A.H.E or the Museum of Archeology and History of Elche is another place worth a visit. The display of artifacts dating form Iberian and Roman times are a great source of interest for many tourists.

The food in Elche is delicious and diverse like its history and culture. There are a number of cafes and restaurants that serve the typical rice dishes so popular in Spain. Also available are dishes from different parts of the world to suit the taste of every visitor.

Elche is the shoe making capital of the country with many factories that manufacture all kinds of shoes. The variety of shoes on sale is amazing with exotic and modern designs making the show markets a popular and cheap destination for many holiday making families.

Alicante is one of the vacation spots that have plenty of picturesque attractions. The best way to appreciate the beauty of Alicante is to rent a car. It is much economical as compared to taking a cab and the fact is that the transportation system leaves a lot to be desired. There are plenty of buses and trains in the city of Alicante itself, and an excellent tram system, but outside the city throughout the province transportation system can be virtually non-existent. If you are visiting Alicante and the Costa Blanca then you really should be trying to see as much of the interior as you possibly can because this is where a lot of these gems are. There are lots of car rental Alicante deals that you can check online but before you decide which car hire company you are going to choose, heed these few tips first.

Make sure that the rental car has air conditioning
Some months are relatively hot and you really can’t help but freshen up once the heat of the summer sun creeps over you. It will surely be excruciating if you are going to bear long hours of being stuck in a car that is not properly ventilated. For sure, instead of having a great time sightseeing, you will end up staying in your hotel. Before you book a car reservation, make sure that the car is air-conditioned.

Check for baby seat
When travelling, your children’s safety should not take a backseat. Check if the rental car has a baby seat as you just can let your child sit on your lap all day. If the car has no baby seat, request for it or you will end up carrying your own baby seat along with your other luggage.

Check with the car hire company if they require an extra driver
There are car hire companies that will not allow you to drive the rental car. Instead they will hire an extra driver drive you to your desired destination. You should also make this clear with the car hire company if you want to drive the car.

Book online
The most convenient and fastest way to book a car reservation is on the internet. You can also find the cheapest Alicante car hire online. Make sure that you read all the details of the reservation including the waiver and the requirements that you have to secure. This way you will not be inconvenienced by any reservation discrepancies during your vacation.

Certainly for most British holidaymakers when you mention Cyprus they think of crowded beach resorts and loud noisy nightclubbing hotspots, but this really isn’t the whole story of Cyprus. If you take the time to drive inland, and especially if you visit the Troodos mountains, you will really find another beautiful world you never knew about. One of my favourite places is the village of Agros situated up in the mountain ranges.

Located in a beautiful picturesque valley, this lovely little village has a much cooler climate than many of the coastal resorts. And this is reflected in the very tasty local produce that the area is known for. High-quality fruits and meats are produced here. Although fairly undiscovered until recently there has now been a significant increase in holiday apartments, as more tourism has found its way here. Nevertheless, it is still a great place to get away from it all and only an hour and a half from the airports of Larnaca and Paphos.

Travel is best done when it is easy and casual. If you have to work at it, it isn’t fun. One of the best things that you can do is to make you pre-trip packing as easy as possible. One of the way that I do this is to have a very standard routine for the items that I pack into my duffel bags. I almost always go with a bout 1 weeks worth of clothing with just a couple of extra items to add for an warmth layer and a nicer set of clothes for going out. With this system I find that I can pack really quickly and not have to think about it. Even better, there is no stress becasue I have done it often enough that it is super easy to do. Find a system that works for you and use it to enjoy your trips too.

Consider the size, shape, versatility, suitability and durability of the luggage when you are buying luggage. Get the best that you can afford, as it should last better than cheaper brands. Make sure the luggage is durable enough to stand up to the rough treatment it may receive during your travels, and that the style is suited to your travel plans.

Another point to consider is the type of travel you usually do, and whether you may need to carry your own luggage any distance or have both your hands free at any time. If this is the case, you might need a rolling backpack luggage that you can either wheel along or wear like a regular backpack. Make sure you can easily manage the luggage yourself, and that it is not too bulky or awkward to handle.

Looking for a complete guide to a honeymoon cruise vacation? Then there is only one site I highly recommend you read up on. The site main focus is to help you decide on which honeymoon cruises destination to go to and how to score the best honeymoon cruise for your money. The site is called TopHoneymoonCruises.com, it is run by Sarah Parker whom have gone on over 11 cruises and knows exactly what to look for when you plan on taking such cruises. The post on her site is perfect for first time honeymooner because it provides reason why you should book a certain honeymoon cruise or which honeymoon location is best to attend depending on the seasons. She also has an post about all-season honeymoon cruises to places like the South Pacific.

No list of travel songs could ever hope to be complete without the addition of Travelin’ Man by Lynard Skynard. A tale as old as time (though perhaps not a song quite as old as rhyme), it portrays one of those poor American souls cursed (or blessed?) with an insatiable wanderlust and an appetite for the open road. I like to think that Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassidy heard this song later in life and wept openly as it exposed them to their core. Forcing them, once and for all to come to terms with the heartbreak they may have caused in their own days of being “Travelin’ Men” and whether it was a fair trade for their own selfish desires to stay continuously moving in a effort to see all there was to see without ever doubling back. Either that or it’s just a really cool classic rock song about traveling that you can put on repeat and sing at the top of your lungs with the windows down and a friend by your side.

Many resorts such as the El Senador are very large and have so many things to do, you may not need to go anywhere else. This resort has 6 restaurants, a game room, gym and even a disco. Like many of the Cayo Coco hotels, this resort also has nightly shows that are extremely entertaining. This is a great choice for a hotel in Cayo Coco. Another one of the more popular Cayo Coco hotels is the Melia Cayo Coco, and they have an animation team that presents an excellent show nightly. If you like to dancing and shows, Cayo Coco hotels have something you will like. If you like just kicking back and enjoying the sun and the water, Cayo Coco is also a great choice.
