Beautiful Agros in Cyprus
Certainly for most British holidaymakers when you mention Cyprus they think of crowded beach resorts and loud noisy nightclubbing hotspots, but this really isn’t the whole story of Cyprus. If you take the time to drive inland, and especially if you visit the Troodos mountains, you will really find another beautiful world you never knew about. One of my favourite places is the village of Agros situated up in the mountain ranges.
Located in a beautiful picturesque valley, this lovely little village has a much cooler climate than many of the coastal resorts. And this is reflected in the very tasty local produce that the area is known for. High-quality fruits and meats are produced here. Although fairly undiscovered until recently there has now been a significant increase in holiday apartments, as more tourism has found its way here. Nevertheless, it is still a great place to get away from it all and only an hour and a half from the airports of Larnaca and Paphos.
